How to Play

Achievements & Levels

In a nutshell

Every meaningful thing you do as a manager is tracked. Winning matches, mastering philosophies, dominating leagues, and developing players all earn XP, grow your manager level, and pay out Rivs you can spend on your club.

How XP and levels work

Every achievement awards XP. Your Manager Level is computed from your total XP and grows on a curve that gets harder as you climb. Early levels come quickly, while the top level (Level 100) is meant to take a lifetime of play, genuinely out of reach for all but the most committed managers.

Your level is public. It shows on your profile, so other managers can see how far along you are.

Tiers

Achievements are grouped by tier on the Achievements page. The Rivs payout always matches the XP, so every unlock both levels you up and pays your club. Tougher achievements within a tier can pay a little more, and higher tiers reward far more than the entry tiers.

Tier 1: Onboarding

From 100 XP / 100 Rivs. First win, first sub, first article, first training, first staff hire, first youth signing, and other first steps.

Tier 2: Tactical Choices

From around 250 XP / 250 Rivs. Win with a philosophy, name the right roles, an early streak, your first promotion.

Tier 3: Mastery

From around 500 XP / 500 Rivs. Win with a formation, clean sheets, Manager of the Week, reaching a cup final.

Tier 4: Advanced

From around 1,000 XP / 1,000 Rivs. Perfect philosophy fit, predicting the opponent, hard styles, big match counts, winning a cup.

Tier 5: Prestige

From 2,500 XP / 2,500 Rivs. League title, unbeaten season, the World Cup, career milestones.

Tier 6: Legendary

5,000 XP / 5,000 Rivs. Back-to-back titles and beyond, the World League crown, The Invincibles.

What unlocks an achievement

Match outcomes. Winning matches, winning friendlies, winning with specific philosophies, formations, or aggression settings, winning with a clean sheet, and win streaks of 2, 3, or 5 in a row.

Tactical IQ. Correctly preparing against the opponent's actual formation, tightly marking their actual playmaker, and fielding a starting XI that fully meets every requirement of your chosen philosophy.

Squad management. Making in-match substitutions, training players across your first, 50, 100, 500, and 1,000 sessions, learning your first trait, removing a negative trait, and naming the right captain (a Leader), playmaker (Intelligent), penalty taker (Composed), and free kick taker (Free Kick Specialist).

Building the club. Hiring your first member of staff, landing a marquee signing, bringing in a psychologist, filling out your backroom team, signing your first youth player and then 10, and completing your first facility upgrade.

Career milestones. Total wins (20, 50, 100, 500), friendly wins (10, 50, 100), matches played (50, 100, 500, 1,000), total goals (100, 200, 500, 1,000), publishing your first article, referring a friend, being named Manager of the Week (first time, then 10, 50, 100), and having a player named Player of the Week.

Cups and the world stage. Reaching a cup final, winning the cup, finishing as the top cup scorer, climbing the World League to earn promotion and win the crown, and winning, retaining, or completing the double with the World Cup.

Prestige. Winning a league title, finishing a season unbeaten, winning a title unbeaten (the Invincibles), winning the title with two different clubs, and winning consecutive titles (two, three, four, or five in a row).

Where to see them

On your Profile. A slim level header sits at the top with your level number, an XP bar to the next level, and a link through to the full Achievements page where every achievement is listed and grouped by tier.

In the sidebar. The Achievements link sits under More in the sidebar.

A target list, not a mystery box

Locked achievements still show their name and description, so the page doubles as a checklist of what to chase next.
