How players are picked: every player who featured in the matchday is ranked by their match rating within their position group, and the highest rated at each position make the team.

What selection does: each appearance gives the player a form lift and a growth bump. The form lift keeps a hot player riding their run so one off night cannot drag them back down, and the growth bump is small per week but stacks across the season, so a regular in the XI gets a meaningful development boost at the season update.

What determines it: pure match rating. The player who performed best on the day wins, regardless of position, so a goalkeeper who outshone everyone can beat a striker who scored.

What winning does: on top of the Team of the Week bonus, the Player of the Week gets a bigger form lift and a bigger growth bump. Stepping up from one of the best 11 to the very best matters, so this rarer honour accelerates development more sharply.

What determines it: a blend of how your team did across the matchday. The biggest factor is the result (winning beats drawing beats losing), then how many league positions you climbed, then your goal difference and your squad's average match rating. So a convincing win that lifts you up the table scores highest, and ties are broken by goals scored.
