Challenges & Friendlies

In a nutshell

Challenge any club to a friendly match outside of league fixtures. Friendlies are a great way to test tactics and earn a few Rivs without affecting league standings or career stats.

How to Send a Challenge

Open Challenges. Go to Challenges in the sidebar and click New Challenge.

Enter the club code. Type your opponent's club code, which you can find on their club profile.

Pick Home or Away. Choose whether you want to play the match at Home or Away.

Set the date and time. Choose a match date (up to 14 days ahead) and a kick-off time.

Or Play ASAP. Use the Play ASAP button to automatically find the next available slot.

Rules & Restrictions

No clashes. Neither club can have another match (league or friendly) on the same date.

Challenges expire. A pending challenge expires after 48 hours, or shortly before kick-off if that comes sooner, when no one has responded.

Cancellable. Accepted friendlies can be cancelled before they are played.

Free to play. Friendlies are free, with no cost to send or accept.

What Counts in Friendlies

Match Rivs

Win 120, Draw 50, Loss 25. A smaller bonus than league matches pay.

Tactics testing

A real match to try out a lineup, formation, or tactic against a live opponent.

Injuries

Injuries can still happen during friendlies, so weigh the risk before fielding key players.

What Doesn't Count

Friendlies stay off the record

Friendly results never affect league standings or career history.

No career stats. Minutes played, goals, assists, and cards in friendlies do not count toward season or career totals. Only league matches do.

No form change. Friendly results don't move player form, up or down. Only league matches do.

No player growth. Friendlies don't contribute to player growth or match experience.

No suspensions. Red cards don't carry over. Players sent off in a friendly are available for the next match.

What to do

Use friendlies to test tactics and earn extra Rivs between league matches, just keep your key players safe from injury.
