How to Play

Transfers

In a nutshell

The transfer market uses a sealed-bid auction system. Place your maximum bid and let the auction run. The highest bidder wins.

How Auctions Work

Sealed bids means no one can see what others have bid. You submit your maximum willingness to pay.

Second-price means the winner pays the second-highest bid plus an increment, not their full bid. If you're the only bidder, you pay the asking price.

Deadline Each listing has a deadline (usually 24 hours). When it expires, the auction resolves automatically.

One bid per listing Your club holds a single bid on each listing. You can raise it at any time before the deadline, but never lower it.

Funds are reserved While you are the highest bidder, the full amount of your bid is held aside and cannot be spent elsewhere. If a rival outbids you, the funds are released straight away, so raise your bid to lock them in again.

Listing Your Players

List for Transfer Go to a player's profile and click List for Transfer.

Asking price Set an asking price. This is the minimum bid.

No cancelling You cannot cancel a listing once it has bids.

No bids If no one bids, the player returns to your squad when the listing expires.

Squad Limit

Each club can carry up to 30 active players. The cap covers everyone on your books, with no separate youth quota.

How the cap is enforced Each pending winning bid counts as a reserved squad slot, so a 29-player club with one bid out is treated as full. New bids and youth offers are blocked until you sell or release a player.

Existing pipeline Bids placed before you reached the cap still resolve normally. If you go over the cap as those auctions land, you'll need to sell down below the limit before bidding again.

Free Agents

Released and quick-sold players enter the Free Agents pool for 30 days. Sign any of them instantly from the Free Agents tab. No bidding, no waiting.

Flat fee Signing costs 500 Rivs Rivs regardless of player value. The fee is removed from circulation rather than paid to another club, keeping the economy balanced.

No re-buys You cannot sign a player you released or quick-sold yourself. Another club has to take them first, or the 30-day window has to expire.

Locked from quick-sell Players signed as free agents are flagged so you cannot quick-sell them for an instant Rivs return. Release or auction them like normal.

What to do

Decide the most you are willing to pay, place that as your sealed bid, and leave it. Second-price means you only ever pay just above the next-highest bidder, so there is no advantage in waiting.
